During the latter part of 1944 or possibly early 1945 I participated in some night missions to Stockholm Sweden. We flew a 4 or 5 person crew. Our B 24 aircraft were stripped of all armament and all insignias were obliterated. The aircraft were packed with parcels marked Red Cross, about the size of current day microwave ovens. We would park in a remote area of the field and the next day or so when we returned the aircraft would be empty. Prior to these flight we all went to London and were outfitted-with civilian clothes and a passport. My passport # was 2598. My understanding at a much later date was that the packages were explosives for the Norwegian Underground.
If anyone has further information relative to these missions I would appreciate hearing from you.
JG
